Book News: Enjoy! New and Selected Poems by Anne Bonner

Blue Note Publications, has released Anne Bonner's colorful hardback poetry book, ENJOY! New & Selected Poems; the selected poems having previously been printed in a poetry chapbook. Florida is the recurrent theme throughout the book, reflecting the state's natural beauty, wildlife and culture. Living all over the world with her USAF fighter pilot husband, there are poems offering insights into other peoples and their cultures. SHORT SHORTS are very short, but powerful thought-provoking poems. Anne's original art work graces the cover and there are colorful pictures throughout the book.

Anne Bonner attended Cocoa schools and the University of Florida. She is the author of five historical fiction books for young adults and five historical fiction novels. She has conducted poetry workshops for children and adults and has served as a judge for poetry contests.
Anne has also served as a member of the Board of Directors for the Brevard County Heritage Council, the Space Coast Writers' Guild and is a Founding Fellow of the Florida Historical Library Foundation. Anne, a Mosquito Beater, contributes poems and articles to the Mosquito Beaters Memory Book, and has been a strong advocate for the Cape Canaveral Lighthouse, Brevard County's historical landmark. A chapter in the back of the book is dedicated to the lighthouse with "then" and "now" pictures, newspaper articles about Anne's workshop in a Cocoa school and her participation in Harboring a Dream, a TV Documentary.
