Karen Whiting will be in China at the invitation of Soaring Company of Beijing

Author Karen Whiting will be in China at the invitation of Soaring Company of Beijing. She’ll be using her puppetry expertise and books to develop imagination in youth and train adults.
From March 22 - April 4, a team of three ACCTS staff (Association of Christian Conferences, Teaching and Service) will join noted author and speaker Karen Whiting teaching a program of imagination, creativity, and self-worth to schoolchildren in Weifang, Shandong province and Yeng Shenyang. They will conduct two-day programs for students and also spend several days training adults in leadership, personalities, and puppetry.

This will be a high-quality Love the World program operated in China under the direction and benefit of a Chinese partnering company, Soaring. ACCTS is honored to have the interest, support and dedication of such an accomplished Christian author as Karen.  She has authored sixteen books for young teens, as well as several for adults, and speaks often on topics of family development, seeing how God's Word relates to life, and encouraging child/teen-daughter communication and interaction. The program in China will be secular.

Karen Whiting is an international speaker and award-winning author of twenty-three books. She has written more than seven hundred articles and short pieces for over sixty publications. Whiting has also been the community producer and host of a television series, Puppets on Parade, for Miami educational TV. She has appeared on a variety of TV and radio programs. Whiting raised five children, including two daughters, and she understands the perspective of parents who need guidance on raising daughters.
