Southwest Florida Meeting of the Florida Mystery Writers of America

The next Southwest Florida meeting of the Florida MWA will be Saturday, January 14th. They have a great line up of authors coming to talk about their winding and varied paths to continued publication: Marty Ambrose, Lisa Black (AKA Elizabeth Becka), Lynne Hallberge (AKA Lynnette Austin), and Tina Wainscott (AKA Jaime Rush). These authors have a lot of books in their bibliography, and they have books being released this year (2017).

At the Saturday, March 11th meeting, author Nancy Cohen will give her presentation on how “Writing is Revising”. It will be a follow-up to the SleuthFest 2017 conference in Ft. Lauderdale happening February 23rd-26th.

Meetings start at 1pm in room 108 of the L-building at Florida SouthWestern State College - adjacent to the Barbara B. Mann Performing Arts Hall. If you use the Summerlin Road entrance to FSW and head toward B.B. Mann, you will find the faculty parking lot to the right of the B.B. Mann parking lot. Watch for signs inside. Check the Lee Campus map here for more details <

You can park in Lot 7 next to the L-building (usually reserved for faculty) on Saturday, even if there is an event going on at BB Mann.

You do not have to be an MWA member to attend this meeting - although MWA membership materials will be available - invite your fiction writing friends.

The group meets for lunch before each meeting at 11:30 at Jason's Deli - 13550 Reflection Parkway, Fort Myers. It's off Cypress Lake Drive near the FSW campus.
