For many years, Judi Ciance wrote articles, short stories, and poetry "just for fun." Once her husband retired, after thirty years on the Worcester (MA) Police Department, they moved to their house on Cape Cod. She then went to work at the Barnstable County Sheriff’s Office, initially as part of the drug partnership grant and finally as an Assistant Deputy Superintendent, Director of Finance. In between, Judi served as the policy and procedure coordinator, supervised the grant writer, and functioned as a transition team member for the county's new state-of-the-art correctional facility. After taking early retirement and moving to Florida, she went back to the ‘fun’ writing on a full-time basis. That’s when the Casey Quinby Mystery Series began. Last November (2015) the fourth book in the series, A TALE of TWO LOBSTERS, hit the stands. Judi's fifth book is scheduled for this October.
