The next two Southwest Annex meetings of the Florida Mystery Writers of America are planned and ready to go.
The Saturday January 9th meeting will give a jump start on Sleuthfest. Suspense and romance author, and Sleuthfest panelist, Lynnette Hallberg, will talk about the writer’s tips and tools needed to be successful in today’s publishing market. Lynn grew her career from a small ebook publisher up to Sourcebooks. She has plenty of writing/publishing experience to share.
The Saturday March 12th meeting will feature Florida Private Investigator, Walter Zalisko, who has been a guest speaker for the group before and is returning to give all the inside facts on crooks and identity theft. This is a specialty of Walter’s and should be an illuminating session.
All meetings start at 1pm in room 108 of the L-building at Florida SouthWestern State College - adjacent to the Barbara B. Mann Performing Arts Hall. Watch for signs inside. Check the Lee Campus map here for more details <http://www.fsw.edu/about/maps>; You are allowed to park in Lot 7 next to the L-building (usually reserved for faculty) on Saturday, even if there is an event going on at BB Mann.
You do not have to be an MWA member to attend this meeting - although MWA membership materials will be available - all fiction writers are invited.
The group meets for lunch before each meeting at 11:30 at Jason's Deli - 13550 Reflection Parkway, Fort Myers. It's off Cypress Lake Drive near the FSW campus.
