Confessions, Lies, and Secrets by Stu Milisci - Meet Milisci at the Meet the Authors Book Fair
Confessions, Lies and Secrets by Stu Milisci is a novel about loyalty, dedication and integrity on one hand; and deceit, blind ambition and hypocrisy on the other.
For decades the Catholic Church covered up allegations of sexual abuse by members of their clergy. These crimes were ignored by the criminal justice system, the media and the public.
In an effort to right past injustices, a catholic priest is charged with and convicted of a murder he did not commit. The church, the prosecutor and the public rushed to judgment to convict this innocent priest.
Only the arresting detective and the victim's older brother believed in the priest's innocence. After three decades of trying to get the conviction overturned, the priest's good name was restored and the guilty party brought to justice.
The truth, known only to two men, was still never fully discovered and justice was once again eluded.
