Carina Press freelance editor and multi-published author Rhonda Helms is giving a workshop on trends in romance publishing–what’s hot, what’s not, and how to capitalize on current trends without chasing them. Also, she’ll discuss working with a freelance editor for self-publishing or polishing your submissions, giving tips and tricks on how to choose the right editor for you.

Rhonda Helms has a Master’s degree in English and a Bachelor’s degree in English, creative writing. She has several novels published in Young Adult and New Adult fiction with Simon Pulse and Kensington. She also taught college-level English composition for several years. Rhonda edited a Romance Writers of America 2015 RITA© award-winning romance, as well as a 2015 RITA© award-nominated romance.
Rhonda has been a professional, full-time manuscript editor for several years, starting her career at Siren Publishing. Right now she’s a freelance acquisitions/developmental editor with Harlequin’s digital-first imprint Carina Press. Rhonda has edited first-time authors, multi-published authors, and NYT and USA Today bestselling authors. She’s been freelancing for several years as well, and she loves taking on new projects!
