Program: “Fiery Fiction”

literally? Do you have a pyrotechnic protagonist (or antagonist)? Learn about
fire science, fire/arson investigation, hazards, emergencies, and incident
command systems from a nationally-renowned fire expert and thriller writer.
Patrick Kendrick is the award-winning
author of ACOUSTIC SHADOWS (Harper Collins, 2015), THE SAVANTS (Suspense
Publishing, 2015), EXTENDED FAMILY (Thomas & Mercer, 2012), and PAPA’S
PROBLEM (Bluewater Press, 2008). He worked in the fire service for almost
thirty years before retiring to write full time. While in the service he also
worked as a freelance writer, publishing articles and short stories in numerous
newspapers and magazines. He has earned meritorious awards in the fire service
as a fire fighter, paramedic, and special operations technician. He is a
graduate of the National Fire Academy's Executive Fire Officer Program and is
an internationally accredited Chief Fire Officer. Kendrick was knighted by the
Fraternal Order of Police for his articles on crime. He's won honorable
mentions from the Mystery Writers of America and the Beverly Hills Film
Festival, the Opus Magnum Award from the Hollywood Film Festival and the
Florida Book Award for his first novel, Papa's Problem. He holds degrees in Fine Art, Fire
Science and Executive Leadership.

I-95 to Hillsboro. Drive east on Hillsboro, go over Intracoastal bridge.
Take a right (south) on A1A (South Ocean Drive). The Embassy Suites
is on the left (ocean side) between SE 9th St. and SE 10th St.
COST: $25 for MWA members; $30 for
non-members. Please note that those who
do not reserve and prepay will pay $5 extra at the door, and be seated only if
space is available.
