Award-winning author Jaimie M. Engle & Freelance writer Christine Edwards to speak at Orlando Public Library

— Author Jaimie M. Engle of Clifton Chase and the Arrow of Light and freelance writer Christine Edwards will speak at the downtown Orlando Public Library on March 11th from 6:30-7:45pm. This FREE event will teach aspiring authors the process of finding a literary agent. Students will learn:

·         How to Query
·         Useful websites for submission
·         Tracking tools
·         What not to do

When I first read Engle’s "Dreadlands" manuscript I was impressed at how clean the entire book was,” said Engle’s Literary Agent, Pam Howell, of D4EO Literary Agency. “There were no typos to be found and the grammar was impeccable. It's one of the few manuscripts I've read and signed that needed little editing.”

Edwards, who is currently shopping her first novel, will share firsthand her experience as she seeks representation for her thriller. As a freelance author, she is consistently querying publishers and tracking her progress. She works with A Writer For Life as a copyeditor and speaker.

“I recently attended a two-part seminar at the Orange County Central Library entitled Revise & Submit,” said L.E. Perez, author of Beauty of Fear and attendee of previous A Writer For Life seminars. “I have to say that the presenters made the topic not only enjoyable, but also easily understandable. Jaimie Engle and Christine Edwards were able to answer questions and provide anecdotal information. I would definitely attend another seminar.”
