When former CIA code-breaker, Paul Marcus, receives the call he thinks it's a hoax. He's asked to analyze a cache of papers found locked in an old trunk. They were the last manuscripts written by Isaac Newton. Using Newton's math and notes, Marcus begins to see a pattern leading to a prophecy so frightening that to reveal it will change world events. At the time of his death. Newton was searching for ancient biblical codes that may open a locked window into future events. Newton helped explain gravity --- but could he do the same for human destiny?

The Dan Pels Show, Where the Literati Lounge

The successful Parisian-style cabaret evenings, the Dan Pels Show, will continue on Wednesday, March 4, from 7 to 9 p.m. at Wine-Me on Beach Street. “There is nothing wrong with calling Daytona Beach a racing town,” says Pels, “but there is also a lot to do for the literary crowd.”
Carol Thomas of Palm Coast, and John McKernan from New Smyrna, will be the featured performers, together with Pels, who greets his followers and reads his own creative pieces in both French and English. Jazz singer, Lorale, will provide songs and music for those who wish to dance.
Dr. Thomas is author of five well-received volumes of poetry, in addition to her being a Florida Book Award Gold Medal winner as a co-author of a non-fiction critical biography. John McKernan, author of the poetry collection Resurrection of Dust, has had poems published in The New Yorker, The Paris Review and Atlantic Review.
“Our audience continues to grow,” Pels explains, “probably because Daytona is actually a very cultured town—full of high-powered writers not just race cars. The authors who appear in my show are the literary equivalent of Sprint Cup winners.”
The evening, a Creative Happiness Institute presentation, is open to the public, free. Wine-Me, which is located at 204 South Beach Street, Daytona Beach, offers a wide selection of wines from $4 a glass and up.  For more information about the Dan Pels Poetry Show, call him at 386-846-7966. Cooler Than Blood by Robert Lane Slated for February 2015 Release

Hailed as gripping, solid, and entertaining, Cooler Than Blood will be available nationwide on February 24, 2015

ST. PETE BEACH, Florida – Mason Alley Publishing announces the upcoming release of Cooler Than Blood by Robert Lane.  Mason Alley will publish Cooler Than Blood in trade paper (ISBN: 9780692223932, 316 pages, $14.95) and eBook ($4.99) editions. Cooler Than Blood will be available where fine books are sold on February 24, 2015.

Florida novelist Robert Lane earned raves for his debut novel, The Second Letter. Cooler Than Blood, Lane’s second mystery release, has generated strong pre-publication buzz. Kirkus Reviews calls Cooler Than Blood a “confident, engaging Florida tale with a cast of intriguing characters. A solid, entertaining mystery.”  ForeWord also weighs in with high praise:  “gripping and highly enjoyable…a fascinating protagonist.”

About Cooler Than Blood:  18-year-old Jenny Spencer is missing after a violent nighttime encounter on a Florida beach. Jenny’s aunt, Susan Blake, asks wisecracking PI Jake Travis to investigate.

Susan and Jake had only spent one dinner together, but both felt an instant, overpowering attraction. Jake walked away.  After all, he was—and is—committed to Kathleen.  But having Susan in his life again could be dangerous:   dangerous in more ways than one.

As Jake and his partner, Garrett Demarcus, close in on finding Jenny, they uncover a shocking secret in Kathleen’s past.  Even more shocking is that Kathleen and Jenny’s life are strangely intertwined.

For Jake, this case may hit way too close to home—and what started as a race to find Jenny could become a fight to protect Kathleen.

As the case heats up and the danger escalates, Jake is forced to examine his moral boundaries.  How far is he willing to go for the woman he loves?   At what cost?  And what about that question that has dogged him since the beginning of the case: was there another person on the beach that night?

Tough, tense, and uncompromising, Cooler Than Blood is a sharp, suspenseful tale that spins from page one.  Novelist Robert lane delivers a masterful mystery brimming with compelling characters, a sensational storyline and an action-charged plot.  A high octane tale resplendent with thrills and chills, Cooler Than Blood brings the heat.

Robert Lane resides on Florida’s west coast.  He is also the author of The Second Letter.

Book News: Blood of Cain by Tom Lowe

I have some Florida book news for your blog.  I just (yesterday) Tom Lowe has published his fifth Florida-based novel.  BLOOD OF CAIN is the latest book in the Sean O'Brien series.
When Courtney Burke appears at Ponce Marina on a humid summer morning, she leaves Sean O’Brien with a haunting tale.  Her story could lead O’Brien down a path that began with a brutal rape forty years earlier and hidden family secrets spawned from the desecration of the innocent.  Soon after, O’Brien learns that Courtney is linked to a series of carnival murders.  Police are convinced she’s a serial killer, and all of her victims are men.  But like the illusions found in the carnival’s House of Mirrors, nothing is as it appears.  Just beyond the looking glass is where evil watches from a one-way mirror.  When the Courtney faces a conviction for murder, O’Brien remembers something she told him, something so strange he’d originally dismissed it.  To alter the future, to save Courtney’s life, O’Brien must penetrate dark deeds that began in a church forty years earlier

Since the dawn of recorded history, millions of people worldwide have reported contact with spirits of deceased loved ones. EVIDENCE OF ETERNITY: Communicating with Spirits for Proof of the Afterlife is the newest thought-provoking book by Mark Anthony the Psychic Lawyer® which brings decades of experience, wisdom and spiritual study together.
This groundbreaking and uplifting journey into the afterlife bridges the gap between the scientific and the spiritual and removes fear and superstition surrounding spirit contact. Every chapter of this riveting page turner features enlightening and exciting true stories. EVIDENCE OF ETERNITY tackles many questions and concepts about the afterlife. It provides insights on difficult subjects including crime, homicide, suicide, losing a child and survivor guilt.
Interwoven with these stories are new and innovative concepts developed by Mark Anthony the Psychic Lawyer® which explains spirit communication in easy to understand language. Mark’s research is based on scientific principles, theoretical physics, physiology, theology, and credible evidence.
EVIDENCE OF ETERNITY is endorsed by the top near-death experience (NDE) researchers in the world including Dr. Kenneth Ring, who wrote, “There are many points of resonance and consistency between Mark’s work and the research on NDEs.
