“America Series” Author to Speak & Sign Books in Brevard

Donald Gilleland shares cultural changes & stories about exceptional Americans during three author talks at area libraries

Local author, retired officer, and corporate leader, Donald Gilleland will be sharing his books, America: A Cultural Enigma, (ISBN: 978-1-61296-302-0) and America: Where Great Things Happen, (ISBN: 978-1-61296-447-8) both published by Black Rose Writing, during three unique talks at Brevard County public libraries:
o   January 24th, 2015 – Satellite Beach Public Library located at 751 Jamaica Blvd. in Satellite Beach, Florida from 2-4pm.
o   January 26th, 2015 – Melbourne Public Library located at 540 E. Fee Ave. in Melbourne, Florida from 2-4pm.
o   January 28th, 2015 – Cocoa Beach Public Library located at 550 N. Brevard Ave. in Cocoa Beach, Florida from 2-4pm.

What can participants expect?

Gilleland, an Evangelical Christian, who served thirty years in the U.S. Military, eight years enlisted in the Navy, and twenty-two years commissioned in the Air Force, accounts for the myriad of differences between the values, customs, habits, home life, and traditions of the world he grew up in with those of today. He will also share inspirational stories about wonderfully exciting things that Americans do which rarely get a lot of news media attention.

After the presentation, Gilleland will be available to sign books and answer questions. Both books will be available to purchase at each event. These events are FREE to the public.
Author Bio:
After retiring from the military in 1984, Gilleland worked in the defense industry for 10 years, retiring from General Dynamics Corporation as corporate director of public affairs where he was responsible for worldwide news media relations. Don is a frequent contributor to Florida Today Newspaper, TC Palm Newspaper, and Vero’s Voice Magazine with over 500 total published articles. He lives in Melbourne, Florida.
