After breaking one of Belial's laws, Sardurvial, a fallen angel, discovers the terrible truth behind one of hell's many secrets. He flees the false paradise and murderous companions, finding himself at the mercy of the people he once sought to destroy.

Kathy, injured and grieving, is approached separately by two mysterious people and is presented with a warning and a choice: save the injured man or let him die. Her decision to aid or ignore a stranger determines the course of her own fate.

Rommel weaves the supernatural struggles seamlessly with the human, internal struggles of loss and remorse, beautifully crafting the thrilling story of a demon, fallen from hell, who seeks shelter and redemption Among the People.

Poisoned Pen Press announces the upcoming release of Rollover by Florida author Susan Slater: Rollover, recipient of a Starred Publishers Weekly review, will be available nationwide in July

Scottsdale, AZ – Poisoned Pen Press announces the release of Rollover by Florida novelist Susan Slater. Rollover will be available nationwide in July.  The latest mystery by Susan Slater, Rollover has received high critical praise.  In a Starred review, Publishers Weekly calls Rollover “excellent” and adds “readers will be glad they’re along for the ride.”

About Rollover:  A bank heist turns sleepy little Wagon Mound, New Mexico on its ear. But this is no straight-forward, demand all the money at gun-point, and run out the front door kind of robbery. It’s a sneaky tunneling that probably took months to complete and put the thieves in a room of safe deposit boxes—and not the vault which held some two million. Safe deposit boxes? What could have made it worthwhile to bypass a cool couple million?

Perhaps the one hundred and ten year old sapphire and diamond necklace belonging to eighty-five year old Gertrude Kennedy was the lure. United Life and Casualty carried a policy on that necklace for five hundred thousand and sends their investigator, Dan Mahoney to sort things out.

But Dan didn’t quite get there when expected. Catching a ride when his Jeep overheats, Dan is the hapless passenger in a rollover that kills the driver and puts him in the hospital.  But this was no accident. Someone wants him out of Wagon Mound at any cost.

Dan doesn’t scare easily: he hasn’t lived his life looking over his shoulder and he’s not starting now. But when his fiancĂ©e, Elaine Linden, disappears, and people close to the case turn up dead, Dan wonders if he ught to reconsider. Maybe the note slipped under his door in the dead of night says it all—it’s not what you think.

Susan Slater is a New Mexico transplant who now lives in Florida.  Predominantly a mystery writer, Slater has two mystery series to her credit, one work of women’s fiction, two stand-alone novels,  and a paranormal short story.
