FLAGLER BEACH, FL – The art scene in Flagler Beach gets off to a colorful start in 2014 at Ocean Books & Art’s January 3rd art opening reception from 5:30-8:30p.m. for Bob Carlsen.
“Florida – As I See It” is a collection of the artist’s newest images captured in photographic safaris throughout Florida. The reception at 200 S. Oceanshore Blvd., Flagler Beach, is free and refreshments will be served.
Carlsen, originally from New Jersey, settled in Palm Coast in 2010 and immediately turned his camera toward the beauty and uniqueness that is Florida. He also set out to share his photographic knowledge and experience with others by teaching workshops on Creative Photography and Photoshop, as well as leading photographic safaris throughout Florida.
Carlsen, a photographer for more than 40 years, is the founder of the recently formed Florida Photographers Group. He is the current president of the Photography Club of Flagler County and a member of the Flagler County Art League. He’s won many awards for his photographic art, locally and also in New York, New Jersey and Connecticut.
“Florida As I See It” will be featured at Ocean Books and Art for the entire month of January.
