Writing and DiscoveryThe poet Yusef Komunyakaa said, “Don’t write what you know. Write what you are are willing to discover.” In this workshop, you will take Komunyakaa’s advice to heart. You will write both poetry and nonfiction. Guided by specific writing exercises, each writer will explore his or her passions, memories, and mysteries.
