The road from writing a book to getting published can be a long and confusing one, particularly for the beginning writer who is searching for answers to questions large and small. Creative Writing: From Manuscript to Publication is a fast-paced, interactive workshop designed to answer those questions and prepare the new writer for publication. The daylong workshop is scheduled for Saturday, July 23 at the University of North Florida in Jacksonville.
As a follow-up to his popular Novel in A Day workshop, Vic DiGenti, award-winning author of the Windrusher trilogy and the mystery, Matanzas Bay, guides the writer through the steps necessary for publication, shares valuable lessons on marketing, and provides timely insights into how to ePublish your book. The daylong workshop covers these topics and more:
• Revising Your Manuscript
• Writing the Query Letter
• Writing the synopsis
• Developing a marketing plan
• Building a Platform
• ePublishing and how it works
Creative Writing: From Manuscript to Publication is part of the University of North Florida’s Continuing Education program. Each workshop is limited to 16 people; so don’t delay in making your reservations. More information and registration details can be found at http://www.ce.unf.edu/learn.html.
