Launched "Hunting for Hemingway," the second in the DD McGil Literati Mystery Series, in Hemingway's birthplace, Oak Park Illinois at the Hemingway Museum on October 1st. Nearly 100 persons attended. The event was covered by WGN-TV Morning Show that did a live spot at the Museum focusing on my book. The Museum. WGN-Radio personality Rick Kogan interviewed me for 30 minutes on his Sunday Morning show; and Chicago's own Kiki's Bistro hosted a "Hemingway Themed" dinner in honor of the book launch where each diner got a book with a great French dinner. Kiki had been a chef in Paris and knew Hemingway. What a treat!!
Also attended the Illinois Authors Dinner sponsored by Thomas J. Joyce & Company Rare Books.
Now back in Florida and am currently doing signings at Borders and Books a Million in Sarasota, Ruhama's in Boca Grande and Books a Million in Port Charlotte.
Mystery Scene's current Magazine ( Issue #116 Fall) contains my article "Dateline: Hemingway" on Hemingway's early typewriter, his Corona #3.
Have a Happy Thanksgiving all.
