There's the big hurricane finish on the beach in SanDestin with gold, platinum & gambling in the mix...
as well as character development chapters in Detroit, Philadelphia, Cleveland and Nashville.

Painless is the first novel by Jacksonville resident Bill Poje. The novel won the 2009 Gold Medal Award from Reader’s Favorite in the Thriller category. The book also received an Honorable Mention in the 2009 Mystery/Thriller category from The Written Art Awards.

Mr. Poje, a Grand Rapids, Michigan native, is a graduate of Aquinas College and Vanderbilt University who recently lived on Grand Cayman Island. His work commute took him to the Bahamas where he was employed as the Financial Controller for the largest exporter out of the Bahamas. During his island life tenure he either evacuated from or went through 9 hurricanes from 2004 to 2007. These diverse experiences come together to entertain readers with this pulse pounding tale.

Mr. Poje is in the process of completing the sequel to Painless titled Blindless as well as another crime novel themed around a fictional mayor of Detroit who is championing Slave Reparations as well as a politically themed collection of shorts stories titled The Senator Smarmy Collection. The intent is to publish all three works simultaneously in early 2011. Samples of the upcoming texts as well as full Painless reviews are available on the Painless website.
