Listen in - JoAnna O'Keefe

How long has it been since you’ve read a poem—I mean a real poem, not a nursery rhyme or a limerick or a Valentine's Day card? Did you ever write one? JoAnna O’Keefe is a noted Florida poet and author of several published books of poetry. American Broadcast will talk with her this week about her life as a poet, her work and inspirations, and whether this ancient art form can still hang on in the age of reality TV and Twitter. She might even read a few of her best. See more at

American Variety is broadcast on Sundays at 7:30 a.m. Eastern time on WFIT-89.5 FM (Melbourne) and 4:30 p.m. on WMFE-90.7 FM (Orlando), and on Wednesdays at 9:30 a.m. on WQCS-88.9's digital HD-2 channel (Ft. Pierce), Florida. If you're outside the combined broadcast area and want to listen in, the show is streamed live on the internet. Go to and click on "Listen Online," to click on "Listen Live to 90.7FM," or to and click on "Listen HD 2 Live."
