Chick O'Brien author of Dierdre, A Woman from Clare

Don't miss seeing Chick O'Brien at the Orlando Public Library in the Albertson Room on Saturday, August 8 at 12:30 pm. He will be talking about his new novel Deirdre, A Woman from Clare.
The book is a historical romantic tale of two people in love, torn apart in war-laden 1915 Europe. Through this novel, explore the different kinds of love we experience: love for one's homeland, love for family, and love between and man and a woman.

The Orlando Public Library invites you to celebrate National Romance Awareness Month and learn about what it takes to become a fiction writer. There will be a book sale and signing following the program.
A little about the novel from Chick: Deirdre: A Woman From Clare is a historical romance wrapped around a mystery. It explores the many loves we enjoy: lustful love between a man and a woman, trusting love with parent/child and family. It also explores our strong love for the land and the place of our birth.

Set in 1915 while Europe is aflame with war and Irish rebellion close at hand; Jay O'Neill and Deirdre DalCas meet and fall in love on a train in Russia. She disappears in Paris and Jay is frantic. He enlists the aid of MacGregor, his father's friend to find her. Is she really a member of the secret Irish Republican Brotherhood? The sinking of the Lustatania adds a twist and Jay goes to Ireland to find his father and Deirdre.

Chick O'Brien has a lifelong interest in history, politics and all things Irish. He and his wife Grace packed up their four children and moved to Ireland. They settled in Cork County, which became the setting for this story. Today they live in Orlando Florida.

Running for Fun by Jonathan and Robert Brown

Bob Brown just sent me a one-liner that his new book is out. Here it is. I don't have all the details at this point as Bob and his brother Ralph are still on their voyage crossing the Atlantic in a flats boat. I'm amazed he got word to me at all. Until he returns and I can replace this with more complete information, suffice it to say that he's written a book with his son Jonathan about his son's love of running.

The title of the book is Running for Fun: High School Runner, Jonathan Brown. It's a book about Jonathan's love of running and it shares through his running experiences the lessons he has learned.

You'll find the book at Amazon ..... Watch for more information later.

In the meantime, take a look at the book and also don't forget to check in on the progress of Ralph and Bob on their voyage by clicking here.

New Spiritual Nonfiction on the Trinitarian Doctrine

In his new spiritual nonfiction book, "Understanding" the Trinity: Three Persons vs Three Manifestations: A Revolution in Christian Thought and Philosophy, Will Daniels seeks to dispel the myth of traditional trinitarian training, which proclaims the existence of three persons under one Godhead: The father, the son and the holy spirit.

Based solely on evidence derived from the King James Version of the Bible, "Understanding" the Trinity takes readers from the passages of Genesis to Revelation, in its quest to prove the absolute nature of God, "Understanding" the Trinity encourages readers to undergo a paradigm shift in their thinking, challenging previously held beliefs, doctrine and practice to reach a better understanding of God and the mystery of the gospel.

"Understanding" the Trinity seeks to clarify the inconsistencies of the trinitarian doctrine, which are imperative for readers’ understanding of God and salvation, and an enlightened step in the right direction for anyone wanting to understand the oneness of God and the revelation of Christ.

Will Daniels his wife, Dorothy, have three adult children. He graduated from Youngstown State University and is a Vietnam veteran. He retired as an industrial engineer.
